Our Story
Founded in 2022, Unlimited Jiu Jitsu was built to challenge the old ways and push the future of the sport. While we honor the deep traditions of Jiu Jitsu, our focus is on progressive training, evolving techniques, and creating a positive, driven community.
We combine proven fundamentals with modern approaches — blending Gi, No-Gi, Wrestling, and Judo — to develop well-rounded practitioners at every level. Updated (… Again): Unlimited’s owners and staff are 2nd to none. Faced with unforeseen challenges, they handled what could have been a tricky transition with grace and diplomacy. Unlimited is embracing change, using this time as an opportunity to implement key feedback and grow their programs. Kudos to Joe and his team for keeping UJJ above the fray and, most importantly, whole. (Still my favorite gym to drop in and train) Updated (Again): the people at Unlimited are the best. So much so I dropped by today while in town just to say hi. Thanks, Joe (again) for making UJJ such a great place. Updated: the new updates to the gym are great! Love training at Unlimited when I’m in town. The people make the place. I cannot say enough about Unlimited Jiu Jitsu and the entire Unlimited family. Unlimited is my home away from home when I’m in Vegas/Henderson and I’m stoked about their new Water Street gym. Unlimited provides a safe and comfortable environment for women to train jiu jitsu which, along with the “family” atmosphere, is super important to me in choosing the right place to train jiu jitsu. If you’re looking for a jiu jitsu class for your kiddo this place is freaking awesome!! Instructors are kind but have a firm handle on the class. Remembered my kiddo’s name after 1 class, made sure he didn’t feel left out because he was new! Highly recommend!!
I attended the Adult Gi class for my second time ever doing Jiu Jitsu and had a blast. The instruction, practice, and help from multiple members and the professor made me feel welcome and confident in a new environment. It’s always tough trying something new but I can say that Unlimited provided a top tier experience that deserves all 5 of these stars.

Saw the owner from a YouTube video. Awesome guy. Can tell that he respects the 1st amendment without question. A TRUE AMERICAN SMALL BUSINESS! Best Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense in the STATE! They provide training for kids and adults. They also allow drop ins and a 3-day trial. They will lend you a uniform. A community driven business. Nothing more American than that!

My kids have been attending Unlimited Jiu Jitsu on Water Street for 3 months and I can’t rave enough about Professor Galvao and his methods and temperament with my kids. Both my kids are very different personalities, one boy and one girl, one shy and one outgoing. This has been an amazing improvement in their focus and trajectory. They can’t wait to train and we go 6 days a week. Yes, they WANT to go. This isn’t one of those puppy mills that promotes belts to keep you paying each month. You promote when you earn it and show competency. Very nice, family feel. And at the end of the week, if my kids trained well, I take them to get Boba 4 doors down the street or we go have dinner at one of the Water Street restaurants. Unlimited Jiu Jitsu offers trial period and family rates. I don’t get anything for this endorsement aside from satisfaction that a small business owner that’s doing the right thing gets more well-deserved business. Check it out! I own 3 jiu-jitsu schools in Maryland as The Mount MMA and BJJ. When I come to Vegas I only train here. I fly out just to learn from professor. He is very knowledgeable from Brazil. He is also one of the most welcoming persons I’ve ever met. I come here and his home is my home. The students are the same. I’ve been to other schools where you walk in the door and you can feel not welcomed. Not here. 5 stars. Can’t wait to come out again!

UJJ is located in Downtown Henderson on Water St. We enrolled my kid right before grand opening last year and have been a member since. They offer classes for all ages and levels. I highly suggest the trial classes first. The staff is awesome, ready to answer questions and welcomes you with a Gi to borrow before you start. The gym is simple, spacious and sanitized. If you are looking for a place where they train traditional gi & no-gi, UJJ has the best Professor and coaches that will help you become the best BJJ practioner. They encourage everyone to participate in tournaments such as NAGA and Fuji. Schedules are consistent, they recently added one more kids class in the afternoon for summer. The staff always makes sure the kids have fun during halloween, christmas. They put alot of time and dedication for the kids and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Proud to have my kid be a part of this team, and looking forward to watching everyone grow with this academy.
We are so sad to be moving & leaving this amazing family. The professor and coaches immediately took us in as family and set the bar extremely high as we move to another state. So much luck and praise to the whole team at Unlimited!
